I think most of the gains come from a decat pipe. But if you just fit a decat pipe, they are a pain to get on and off when it comes round to MOT time (not sure if you have emissions testing in canaries). With a 182 manifold in place, you see a bit more gains, and putting in a CAT is easy. I made my shorter cat out of the old 172 cat.
