4 bleeps!!

Right im havin major probs with my alarm at the mo! It keeps goin off all the time while the engine is coolin down after being out! I just listened and when i reset it, it bleeps 4 times. Im just gonna search for my manual but does any1 know wot this means??

Please help!!

just had a look an it says thats to tell me the alarm went off. the led flashes x amount of times to say why it went off. does any1 know if it stores the info till i reset it??

Is it a cobra alarm?? I think it means that something aint shut, check you bonnet switch.

its the standard renault fit 1?? yeah it says cobra on the back of the manual!

Typical now i want the alarm to go off so i can look at the led the bloody thing isnt goin off!

just as i posted the alarm went off. i legged it outside to stop it but the led didnt flash at all but i still got the 4 bleeps. Could this be the bonnet switch??

i really want to get to the bottom of this as renault are not interested!!!

its one of the switches no doubt. The bonnet one on my old clio used to be a right pain in the ass but i think that is 3 flashes?? check the boot and the door ones and see if the ultra sonics are too sensitive by waving your hand over them while armed. The auto electrician usually just puts some wd40 down the switch and presses it in a few times. If its the bonnect one you may be able to unplug it just to test it - dont but the wire near the shell of the car of this will just ground it and it will think the switch is still open. Check connectors to the switches. Its usually just a faulty connection or maybe an earth problem if not the switches.



i think 4 is either bonnet or boot
