-40 mm



  Renault clio 1.4 16v
if i drop im 04 clio 1.4 -40 on springs will i need to change the rear shocks for the rear spring to stop them comin out over pot holes ond stuff .. also any one got pics of -40 on 17s
 
Nope no need, the shocks will wear quicker but no ones tried to see how long it also depen ds on how you drive.

i work for renault amd when a clio comes in for MOT that has been lowerd they fail it because the springs drop out. any one had this problem ?

I'd bet thats with Pi springs if so then that explaisn it Pi springs arn't very highly though of IMO.

ive lowered mine 40mm, i havent changed the shocks, my MOT's not due yet, so hopefully they wont fail me on that....only got the car last year so not for a while yet. i also dont know how long my shocks will last, im on apex, which as far as ive gathered are best spring set up for the money
