The sub is under the passenger seat so it doesn't really bother me :) and the exhaust is a bit heavy for my taste too

but mate if you like it the way it is then good on you for gettin it!! enjoy!! how much did it set you back btw?

Ditch the wheels and change the exhaust back to a stealth or maybe a single pipe system cut into the bumper, looks nice and clean.

Yes it was but it ended up as a private sale :) He has included the standard rear lights so i may well be putting them back on in the near future :) The exhaust is a little more tricky though. I paid 4575 which was taking into account i've basically got 12 months before an ABC service will be due. I also have standard stereo parts.

Thats a good price, needs standardising to be honest, as long as your happy with it, all those parts are sellable though.
I would stick the standard rear lights back on, with silvervision bulbs.
The exhaust is a little big which is a shame, but its worth a reasonable amount secondhand, I would replace it with a prospeed.
The wheels aren't too bad, but if they are 17s they won't do the handling any favours.
Lots of potential and a good buy, and you could raise abit of money for a new exhaust by selling off bits like the existing one and the rear lights.

Thanks for the constructive feedback :) its much more useful than "wheels are turd" lol. my faith is restored. 100% agree with everything you say in fairness. It's impossible for everyone to have the same taste. The lights will be going back on the weekend and i'll be popping to my exaust man too and see what he suggests :)

agree with the prospeed comment, good price though, under 5k for a cup? noiice :)

have fun my friend :)

btw what are plans for it? lowering remaps anything like that?

jamie

Plans for the moment are restoring the lights, sorting the exhaust, looking at some 16" alloys, i think i just missed the group buy for the BMC induction kit but that will be getting done. Going to keep the engine pretty much standard for the time being though :)

I too noticed the Remington grill, but I didn't want to rub it in after some of my other comments, cheap fix though the proper ones only £42 from Renault and some berk would probably pay the same on ebay for the cheese grater.

You think thats bad? :) there is better to come! Yea the grill is going (hence the lack of picture, hehe) he also carried a spare alloy in the boot too, and i mean a full alloy wheel with all the trimmings! needless to say thats now in the garage, im pretty sure it weighed more than a standard 172 when i collected it ;)

ps, i don't think your being harsh, you are infact confirming what i've already thought which is good!

Good job we're on the same wave length! You got it for a good price and all the negative points are just asthetic, you won't have any problem shifting these bit on ebay.
Yeah stick the spare wheel in the garage and get a can of tyre foam! Defeats the object of a cup!
