Apex do a 40mm spring kit .. I got mine from Motorworld but mine is a 182 so no point posting a pic :)

Apex suck :)

Get Eibach Sportlines if you want 40mm, if you want an even better ride and don't mind 30mm then go for Prolines.

  Black Mk2 172
Ive got 40mm apex - ride is abit harsh but they generally lower the car the full 40mm if not slightly lower, cost about £80-90.

  No more clio's for me!
Apex Rock - although can be harsh! ;)

Can't resist a pic! lol

old'uns but you get the idea! :)

Cant fault 'em mate. Excellent on most surfaces, but a little harsh on the rough stuff. Turn in and cornering is so joyous, it makes going round a round-a-bout a new sport! Grins from ear to ear! :D

www.motorsportworld.co.uk are good price, maybe worth pming john@2modified see if he can get you some.

cant beat apex's, eibachs only lower the car around 25-30mm whereas apex's are full 40mm if not lower.
plus the ride is near the same as standard.

^The ride is nothing like the OE springs provide. Apex is a much much firmer ride, and at times on bad surfaces is harsh.

People forget theres two kinds of Eibach's, Sportlines WILL drop you down 40mm. Prolines will take you down 25mm/30mm. Both Eibachs are far superior in every sense.

thats your opinion i think the ride is very good on the apexs on bumps they are slightly harsher but barely. alot of people say the apexs gives a near standard ride.

Having tried Eibach Prolines, Apex's, Pi and Koni adjustables - I'd say my opinion is also fairly well rounded. Yes it's my opinion, and my opinion is they are overly harsh, they don't have the same progressive characteristic as the Eibachs and the ride is nowhere near as good.

Apex for show.
Eibach for go.

For mine it's only £81, by how much roughly do you reckon john will beat their price by ozzy? Just a rough guess...I know, I know, ring him etc, but just for an Idea.

Eibach Prolines on Koni adjustables.

The sportlines would give another 10mm drop on top of those, and would still be a much better ride than the Apex would be. Upto you i guess, but Eibach are a market leader.

Like i said though, depends if you want ride/handling or looks/drop. You pays your money...

an apex group buy would be popular, and if you could get john@2modified to do the group buy then it would be at a reasonable price

im picking my apex up on friday...

i currently have Eibach Proline's, so i'll report back on the differences :)

Nice one Dan...what a name aswel! lol

Pity you had Pro's though...If they were sports I would of bought them off ya.

  Monaco Blue Mk2
^Aye, but neither will be any good for me then though will they? lol. I want more of a drop than Pro's and Apex are specific for 2.0ltr and non 2.0ltr, unlike the Eibach which are suitable for all bar 1.2 afaik.

I paid £81 for my apex from motorworld and I am very happy with them for that price you can't go wrong imho :)

^ Cheap and cherful eh Maz!? It's the way forward. Nice drop and stiffen up the body roll.

Think they were bout £90ish when I looked in motorworld though.

rich[182]

I know 2 people who have both resulted in absolutely shagged dampers after only 6 months of Apex on OE shocks, one of which was a newish 182

Agree with Maz...for the money their spot on! Plus got mine fitted for a tenner! :D

  Monaco Blue Mk2
^where was that danny? I'd pay a tenner to save arsing about myself but I doubt I'll get it done for a tenner so just do it myself.
