45MPG FTMFW

Car  Albi Blue RS 200
This was hard work. 45MPG over 30 miles in the 172 driving as carefully as possible, trip reset after brimming at the juice station. This was with a bit of stop start and town driving. Best I've done yet though I really really need to find an excuse to do a long constant motorway run to see if I can get her close to 50MPG :D

I did however feel like :sleepy: when I got to my destination and during the run. Though it goes to show how economical these F4R engines can be with car.

So who's managed the absoloute best in a 172?

i know mines a 182, but i got 42 wiith a boot and a backseat of holiday gear!! was pretty much a 5 hour motorway journey lol

Still mighty impressive for a tuned to the nuts 2 litre engine. IMO.

My old 1.6 Focus struggled with that!

172 just keeps making me smile :D

easy to do drive like a pensioner and job done

Sure, just saying it's impressive how economical the engine can be when you want it to be.

I also disagree it's easy when you're used to hooning the nuts off it in accordance to what the cars were built for
