sounds like the start ................ If your car is under 1 year old get it sorted under warrenty. Mine started at 13months
..Ren offered to pay 20% of the cost (£160 0f £500+ apparently!!!) Im now putting up with it till I can get an aftermarket cat back rather than another Renault jobbie!!!!Cheers Vivj.
Mines only 6 months old but it is only a slight noise at present so if I take it in, Reno will keep it for 1 day and when I pick it up say "sorry we couldnt find anything but if it gets worse bring it back".
I think I will wait until it can be heard 20 miles away and then they may say they can just about hear it and it may take a few days to track it down / repair.

Dont stand for any of this 12 month then you have pay!!! This is a common fault as as such Renault should be 100% liable to repair.
They tried to tell this to me after 15months all you need to do is complain, I showed them the EVO article that stated their long termer had the same problem! And as luck would have it there was also someone else there with the same problem.
And the fact that I had been complaining for over a year about problem. Just get a list of people on here who have had the same problem (there will be lots)
