I can't believe you can get 500gb of storage for like a ton now!

Can you imagine telling someone back in 1984 (or whenever it was that the BBC/C64/etc first came out) that you could get a Tb for about £200? They'd never believe you!!

I remember wanting to buy some RAM for my old 486 25mhz beast, 4mb for just over 100 quid.

and it being virtually impossible to fill up the hard disk, all 260mb of it

back when cdrom drives first came into existance my dad was a self employed graphics designer working from home. we paid £500 for an external 1 speed caddy loading scsi cdrom drive.

lol, yea i remember my dad buying a reveal cd rom kit, with like 30 games, had to use the sound card as an interface for it, wasn't a true ide interface. 2x beast that was!!

cost my dad several hundred pounds back then...

Was a Reveal SC400, could'nt afford a real soundblaster pro back then

we had a soundblaster pro and a diamond viper graphics card with a whopping 2mb of vram.

I remember the first hard drive I ever bought, it was for an Atari 520 STFM - it was 20Mb and cost me 600 quid
