We went past you twice in the Vee to see if you had a CS sticker. Looked v.clean. There was a green Mk1 parked further up with tints as well.

I've never been over 'Owd Betts in my 172 (probably 'cause I don't live in Rochdale anymore). I used to love driving over that little stretch. Two things I remember about 'Owd Betts; 1)Driving over there one Sunday afternoon and heard Eminem's 'Stan' for the 1st time and remember being amazed 2) blowing the head gasket in my '91 1.4RT, dropping down to 2nd gear to overtake someone (was going a bit too fast for 2nd

It is a great road that - shame it's a little short though. Sometimes I go that way, having come from the Heywood side via Ashworth Valley Road. It's almost like a WRC stage in miniature!
How long ago did you leave Rochdale?

The best bits are when you're heading towards norden/r'dale and there's a tight left bend with also goes into a huge dip... always got my heart racing that and then trying to go as fast as you can down the big hill at the end before deciding when it's safe to break down to 30 for the speed change.
Also, turning right off 'Owd Betts past the reservoir and going through that country lane is good to... you'll end up on bury road next queens road, that can be hair-raising!
