Well filled up earlier after dropping some wheels off, then dropped my mate off and thought I'd go for a mpg run to see what I could get, so did about 15 miles home the long way as economically as I could do, mainly roads at 30/40mph limits, a bit of national speed limit and some coasting gave me just over 60mpg!!

Apparently that is 680ish to a tank, not too bad!

I usually get about 44mpg so a nice rise!

How mate, the most i've ever had is 47mpg on a run, was mainly national speed limit but includes a bit of town centre and that was mainly doing about 50ish in 5th.

Just a lot of coasting really mate, and cruising very slowly!
I'd never get it in the real world, as said i normally get about 44mpg, but this was purely just to see the highest I could get, will drop as soon as i re start the car tomorrow!

nice!

mine said 667 miles from 1 bar of fuel once...

I managed 83mpg once over 12miles mainly national speed lots of twisties too, then entered a town and it dropped to 47mpg.

Yeah, whenever i fill up my normal way home I coast a lot of it, see the comp at 99.9mpg and the miles left at around 3000!
Normally down to about 70ish by the time I get home, then straight back down as soon as it's started in the morning!

I managed a very pleasing 46mpg over the 287 mile trip home one friday afternoon. This included some travelling at 50 mph behind slower moving traffic until there was a safe place to overtake, a few miles of 90mph blasting to try and make up time, and a fair few minutes of sitting in traffic at roadworks etc.

Oh yeah, this was in my 1.6, very chuffed with that to be honest.
