6x9s

  FOR SALE!!!
were is the best place to put 6x9s in the clio mk2 will they fit in the side pods in the back as dont want to have them on show any one ideas/pics of there cheers

  Clio 1.4
I've always thought that 6x9's in the parcel shelf is like a big invitation to your local thug or chav to come steal them. I still haven't installed any 6x9's because of this reason i am looking to instal them in the boot built into the panelling

My opinion if you can hide them elsewhere do so.

Others say that they make the "sound stage" of the car and to just put Componants in the front and rear.

  FOR SALE!!!

 6 by 9's are poo sticks! dnt bother!
6 x 9 's are an inexpensive upgrade from the factory speakers for people who don't wont components up front and subs etc...

You've left me no alternative but to report you anti 6x9 thugs to the ICE police for discrimination ;) 6x9's have feelings too :D

You don't need any 'back sound'

I'll say it before anyone else does, they ruin the soundstage, if you go to a concert ... blah blah blah it's been covered so many times!

  FOR SALE!!!

Throw them into your local halfrauds, they'll feel right-at-home :D

As said, you don't need anything in the rear apart from decent coaxils - having "in your face" speakers in the parcel shelf (stealth or showing) will disrupt your soundstage hence loosing overall sound quality.

Maybe sound quality is not an option though - I see vibe have been mentioned :rasp:

Sorry for the opinion (which most will agree with) but if you are keeping the 6x9s keep them in stealth :)
At least that way you keep the car looking standard and less attractive to the wrong audience, also you have your "rear fill" for the back passengers.

Make sure you have the front comps well amped so that your rear isn't going to sound better than the front end - what I was trying to explain how to avoid in my first post

Eh? :S

I "agree" that most will "agree" with the opinion of 6x9's. But my point was that he didn't ask what people thought of 6x9's. He asked if they would fit in a certain area. And all he got was, 6x9's s**t blah toss blah component this blah.
