70mm Jenvey worth upgrading to?

Is it worth upgrading to the above on a car (ph1 172) with the usual breathing mods, cams, headwork, inlets, 182 mani, zorst etc etc ?

I know in the past this subject has had mixed views and the cup racers manage fine on the smaller TB's but just thought id ask as im aiming to get the car in for its final tweek on the map when i get round to it

Surely you would have to enlarge everything else to see any benefit?

bigger TB will give better throttle response, but not a direct power increase because of the body on its own. Works fantastic on a high compression engine though

you have to enlarge the opening in the plenum, yes

yeah, all of 30 minutes work

It only takes a matter of minutes to bolt an inlet and plenum on a jig... select the correct program, press the start button and the CNC "matches" them for you

I guess no more than a 20min process for the CNC machine..

true, true... weeks to create a program that runs 20mins :dead:
