Its not that cheap. When you look on pistonheads or fleabay there are several that are lower mileage, cheaper, with belts done

They are ok mate, I don't think they would try and rip you off on purpose, I got them to do the front brakes (AP Racing) and the cambelt before I bought the Ibiza, I traded in a 54 182 which they gave me a good price on.
More about lack of knowledge than true evil, I can't remember the guys name but he was alright, been to a lot worse garages.

u can add 500 quid to the dealers profit if not more, these r worth £2k with that sort of mileage

I looked at a couple of 182's at Gatwick Cars before I got mine - they were nice enough salesman, although didn't give me much attention until I showed my knowledge on the Clio's, and refusing to let me have a test drive in one (despite driving to them in a new Focus ST!) was what stopped me buying the car! :S

Really? I drove down in my beaten up Corsa and they had no probs letting me drive it. Got em down on price and they're sorting a few things out, as you say, they are a little over priced but I think to be fair there are alot of dreamers on PH and AT that are charging the same if not more for the same mileage. They seem reasonable, deffinately would get the belts done at JMS as there only down the M25 for me. As I saw someomne else write, you either end up with a bargain runner or you get a car where you know the work has been done and you know the standard its been done to! Gonna have one last sift through the paper work and maybe Ill have myself a Cup....

P.S. OUt of interest how much do we think a Cup, 1 owner, service history etc, relatively good condition, with that milage is worth? I have had a look online and it seems pretty reasonable?
