£320 for 2GB of 800mhz DDR2... It's when I read things like that I dont know how people can say mac's are well priced as that is ridiculous.

I am honestly baffled how they can sell it for that. Utter rip off.

It's not a server though its a workstation running creative suite on the mac os. It's not badly priced if you spec up something with the exact same spec.

I know its ECC memory which is usually a bit more expensive but its not that expensive! They must be making close to 250% profit on each module they sell if not more.

However you look at it though they are ripping you off. Can you not just go get some ECC memory out of a comp shop and drop it in? 2gb £50 2 minutes to fit it job done.

I'm looking to replace my dual 2.5 G5, but I'm gonna wait for new displays. I'm ADC so it makes sense to buy both base unit and display at the same time to get the discount.

Apple have them in stock unless you spec a BTO option. The ones Cancom have are the same, if you look they show some as special order.
