The 348 is a different car altogether. The Testarossa became the 512TR. Admittedly all three had the side fins so they look similar. Iirc 348 means 3.4litre 8cyl and 512 means 5litre 12cyl. That's how they used to name their cars.

They were named like that until the 355 which was 3.5 5 valve
