9k for a trophy

Future classic to be honest. Besides its a barely run in car for just under 9 grand, what else can you buy for that money that has that amount of miles and is as fast/good in the twisties?

Im sorry, perhaps im missing the bit of the ad that says 'Cat C', but just out of interest, why would you not spend £9k on that?

Serious question by the way, im intrigued.

Because I would use it for two years, put average mileage on it and itll be worth the same as the others would be my reason

BOT, personally I'd rather spend a little more and get a vee. Irrespective of mileage, 9k for a Trophy? No thanks

defo, thats near v6 money, which will hold its value more in 10yrs time, u cant eevn get a straight mint mk1 v6 for <£7-8k these days

As a collectors item which will be worth double that in 20 years time then yeah it seems like a good investment. But lets face it, who can afford for 9k to be tied up a car thats not allowed to be driven?

I think cars should be driven so not something I would buy as I'd put too much mileage on it. Nice car though

In 2004, i was offered an E30 M3 for £8k (normal price at the time), but as i didnt fancy LHD, i bought a 328i Sport instead. So one of my mates bought the car, used it for a bit, then stuck it in his parents barn for a few years.

Roll forwards to 2011 & he is buying a house, so puts the M3 up for sale. He sold it for £19k 3 weeks ago to a chap in Germany.

I was sick a little, & regret that now, i will probably never be able to afford a good e30 M3 ever again.

You would have sold it within 6 months

hmmm when that car comes up for sale in 20 years and i have a big wad of money in the bank and its still in prestine condition and half the cars are electric i am deffinatly buying that. lol

yeah its one thing asking them £30-£40k+ prices for them but how many sell, my mates a mentalist when it comes to old fords, he's spent near on £27k on a mk1 or mk2 banger of a escort thats after laying out £5k buying it full cosworth running gear, bare metal respray or should i say replaced every panel as it was rotton to the earth and he seems to think he'll get £35k+ its original rally car but u defo wouldnt see >£10k of my pounds in it
