A/C delete power steering pump issues

  172 race build
hey guys, im currently in the process of fitting my air con delete kit to my ph2 172 track car. It appears to be the genuine kit as per what ktec sell, i got this off ebay over a year ago and all the parts seem to be there but the bloomin power steering pipe doesn't seem to fit onto the pump. Its the screw fitted one on the metal pipe that doesn't fit. The rubber pipe doesn't seem to be an issue.

Do i need another pipe? Am i doing something wrong as i've been scratching my head all weekend, everything else seems quite straightforward considering theres no instructions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Or can i just not connect the pipes and would this remove powersteering? Would that be fine for just track use?

Are you trying to fit a non cup pipe to a cup setup?

If so, lots of very gentle bending required

Thank you sir!! i did think about this but was scared of fracturing the pipe. Shall give it a go. Any tips?

Try not to kink it, bend it slightly at a time and then try and move along and bend it a bit more, rather than just grabbing it and bending it the whole way in one go.

thanks, all sorted now. Just one last question, with fitting the different alternator the electrical connectors are different. now there was an electrical terminal left on one of the studs (next to the one with an L beside it) so i connected the wire to that and have fitted the positive to the obvious place. Now is that the correct terminal or should i connect it to the stud next to the L or even the spade terminal in the middle of the altenator? Currently the red battery light is staying on so im sceptical that its charging the battery
