really hav had enough with me car now, i can never use it and hav no money what so over to get it fixed. its been on the computer at arnold clarke an they jus keep saying its my throtle bodies, but im realy not payin 300+ quid on a car what cost me 3.5k when im on less than £60 a week :dapprove: .

does anyone now what could possibly make me car tick over at 2k revs (with engine man' light on) and when i floor it the revs go up a notch?

any help would be much apreciated!

Take the throttle body iff and calen it that can fix most problems.
The throttle bodies on the 1.2 are useless ring Matt on 01254 386661
he might be able o source a cheaper one or a second hand unit.

To get at the throttle body you need to take the whole inlet manifold off.
firstly take the air box off 2 x 10mm bolts
then look at the top of the engine there are some sensors to the left and right and a big wiring loom at the back - you need to disconect these.
then you need to undo the 4 rocker cover bolts these are female torx its a number 8 you can buy one from halfords for about £3.
then you need to get at the bolts at the front of the engine they are 13mm there are 9 of them undo them and then you should be able to lift the whole plastic inlet off the top of the engine.
the throttle body is tucked underneith and is connected with a cable.
soak the body in carb cleaner and refit.

if you dont think you are able to perform the above operation then try the following:

take the airbox and filter off start the engine and spray carb cleaner into the intake only a bit at a time otherwise you'll stall the engine. i use GUMONT cleaner as it wont harm seals but its hard to come by.
