A couple of issues

Hi all I have recently bought my first Clio 182 cup but sadly I have found a few faults. I tried using the search on the site but could not find the answers I were looking for so here goes. Its a 2004 182 cup 44000miles the first problem is a bad oil leak at first I thought rocker seal but seems to be coming from the cambelt area and is easily losing 1 litre per week the passenger side camshaft seal has a little seepage so is it likely that the other is the cause as the drivers side of the engine is coated and it seems the oil is hitting the alternator belt as the alternator and driveshaft etc are coated in oil. Finally in the last week there seems to be a bit of smoke ( not clouds ) / oil burn at high revs like 6k plus is this quite common ?. Thanks in advance for any help

You need to get the oil leaks that are leaking onto belts checked pretty soon. The oil can deteriorate the belts, which isn't something you want with the cam belt.

Not to mention the fact the F4R is a keyless sprocket setup and oil in that area is generally frowned upon.

The leaks will be sorted asap is it quite common for the camshaft seals to leak on these ? and is smoke at high rpm common with these ? , I did have an integra before which gave off a little smoke in vtec is that common on these ?
