I only got the two extra tickets on the Friday mate, the other two tickets were supposed to be going to another 'member' who wasted my time right up until the point of not being able to send them to anyone else!

I really wouldn't get a 200. Good as it is, I've not once had the urge to go and drive it just for the sake of it.
In the context of current competition, it's ace. In the face of older cars, it just feels a bit numb.

I've not driven one yet Warren, but I'm guessing it's similar to the 197 in terms of driving thrills etc?

However The 197 I did take on a long test drive was great , good handling, brakes and exhaust note and TBH I was very taken by it... Until I got back into 172 it just felt so raw and alive compared to the 197. Ideally I'd get something else to run alongside the 172, and then have the best of both worlds.

Have you not got your 172 anymore then mate?

It's just been fixed and will be picked up by the new owner very soon. I believe it's getting ITB's, and some other trick bits.

I've promised not to drive it, as I know I'd probably end up selling the 200 and keeping it.

Re the 200, it is a great car, but it doesn't get under your skin in the same way the ph2's do. There just isn't the feel or sense of fun, it's more grown up. Too grown up imo. Although people will tell you that the 200 is the same as the 197, it isn't! Several small improvements that combined, make it (imo) a much better car.

I had a shot in a 197 recently, and my view on them hasn't changed, I would never own one.
