A couple of problems. Please help!

  Ph1 172 (titanium)
Was out driving earlier, threw it into a round about. There was a slight dip in the road. And the left side of the car made quite a clonk. Has happened once or twice before. I'm on ktec coilies. Any ideas!?!?!?

Also, sometimes when selecting 1st and 2nd gear. The lever seems to squeak into gear, but doesn't feel bad, then other times it doesn't make the squeak noise but seems to clunk into gear. Then if I just run through 1st and 2nd whilst stationary a few times. It seems to be fine. But then within a few minutes. It will start squeaking again. Only does it in 1st and 2nd, perhaps done it into 3rd once or twice.
Again. Help please. As I am far from mechanically minded.
Thanks

possible top mounts for clunk on coners, usually gear box clunks signs gear box could be on way out

Pop the gearstick gatior off inside the car and drop a blob of grease on the ball that should help loads!

The clonking on the coilovers could be the top mounts or just the harshness of k-tec coilovers

It's got the ktec solid mounts on it, so don't know if this makes a difference. I believe they are the new style so don't need greasing up.
I was goin to try this with the ball joint. Read up a bit on it earlier. Should be easy enough.
Thanks dude

mine started doing the clonking a week ago,
2 days later,a loud clonk and the top of my osf spring flew off.

bought 4 new lowering springs and had them fitted, and also had to buy osf top mount
as my mechanic said it was k.o'd.

drives like a beauty now pal, looks loads better and handles great.
no clonking whatsoever now.

No not grease the top mounts! i am on about inside the car under the leather bit where your gearstick is.

Solid top mounts will clonk as there is no give in them.

Lol. That's what I meant. The ball on the lever. Scuse me for the misunderstanding. Will try the grease then. And may have to live with the clonking mounts then. Doesn't do it much. Just when thrown around hard
