a few problems



  Low and Slow 1.4 16v
Had a strange tapping noise coming from around the engine, took it to the garage and they thought it was oil pressure. Changed the oil and filter and checked the pressure everything was ok. They recommended giving it a good run. As its been sorn'd while im at uni this was difficult. I have since changed the coolant as well. My dad left the car running on the drive a few weeks ago, to see if the tapping issue continued when the engine was warm. Came back and it had over heated. Took it for a drive yesterday, then checked the oil after...water and oil mixed. Not a good combination, the oil cap was white. So im assuming its head gasket... am i right? could there be any other issues? like a new thermostat needed?

Mayo could be condensation from not running much, but if its overheated, that doesnt sound good. They dont usually let the HG go on the F4R

There is evidence of oil in the header tank too according to my mechanic friend. I believe my engine is a K4J anyway.
