i have a 172 phase 1 and it has a slite miss on idle and has high hydro carbonsdose any 1 know wot this could be

Sounds similar to the problem i had recently, brought a coil and that wasnt the problem. So i took the top of the inlet manifold off to find out that whoever had worked on the car before i got it, they'd got one of the ignition leads crushed in between the top of the engine and the inlet manifold. It ran fine for 6 months like it also, then just one day gave in... Its a bit of pain to take apart, but another thing to check before you spend any money!

ive had it code read and it only comes up with a knock sensor.the computer sed it had no miss fire but quite clearly it has by listernin 2 it do u think that could solve the problum.i was also told to try swap the lamba sensors over and change the tdc sensor has any body done this and did it help.
it sounded good beforehand :rasp:
