when putting a new rear axel on my ph2 clio 172 i noticed that between the axel and the stub axel there is a inch or so thick spacer plate. if you where to get a thicker one of these machined up it would push your wheels out wider but wouldnt put extra strain on your bearings as it sits behind them. am i right in thinking this, as if it would work i think this would be a simple way of spacing the rear of the clio without having to keep replacing worn bearings. and also do the bearing come out of the rear discs because a friend of mine said that he thinks they are pressed in but im not sure this is the case.
