A wandering clio 172........



Right Guys...as much help as possible please...

02 FF 172.. It has odd tyres on the front-Wich will be sorted this week..However...

Tracking has been setright.But when you accelerate(in any gear) the car veers sharply to the right.when you back off the throttle it comes straight again!!
any ideas??

Bushes?subframe?dampers?enginemounts?? HELP!!!!!

no mate,Ive had a FF 172 before - I have experienced torque steer,and tram lining on road chevrons etc.This is far more severe....

Mine did this when the tyres were close too the limit.
New tyres, was all good then.

At motorway speeds?
 
It has new tyres on,albeit budget brand,but it pulls harshly to the right (o/side) when accelerating,and at motorway in 5th it will do the same thing.
the car is a 2002 FF 172-totally unmodified.
 
Sounds like possibly featherd tyres to me. Try swapping the wheels from front to back.

possible i guess.as they are cheap and nasty....
Will stick it on the ramp and look this weekend...I think balljoint but- are there any issues with bottom arms on these cars?? if so what??
