AArgh fog lights don't work most of the time.

Hi

Posted some pics about month ago of my new to me Ph1 172. Now my problem is the fog/spot lights don't work most of the time. I have acctually seen them light up while out of the car checking if they are on.
If I turn them on a go for a drive when I arrive whereever I'm going more often than not they are not on. Didn't really notice at first because I don't drive in the dark much.
I have checked the fuses on the nearside of the dash and they seem fine.

Anyone had a similiar problem and got a quick fault finding list of checks. Would save me a lot of time and would be most appreciated!

Silly boy! Why do you need fogs anyway? Very rare they are needed.

Not sure if the ph1 172's have auto lights the ph2 but on mine, the fogs won't come on unless you override the auto lights but turning the lights on manually and then the fogs.

No need for fogs on the front matey you just make other people think you're a pleb.

You need to have a frontal lobotomy then buy some trackies and a Burberry baseball cap, then you will find they work all the time.

Theres a connector between the car and the bumper on the passenger side, check that as the wet and mud can easily get to it and corrode the connectors. You'll find it somewhere between the back of the fog and the wheel arch.

joy.......more foglights......especially when you dont drive during in the dark much.

Don't worry I don't want to use them all the time! There is enough Chavs round my house without me buying a loud exhaust on 1.2 and turning fogs on.

It's just annoying and I do live in Derbyshire and there is some right country lanes to have fun on (they may come in handy for spotting sheeps on the roads) lol

Someone else has problem now. I just like things to work. Didn't get done for aircon post.
Anyone live near Underwood will know of the misterious Underwood fog and it's my way home!
