Abs esp serv = rear abs sensor drivers side

  Arctic 182
This has come up as a fault on diagnostic.

What does this sensor do exactly? Is there any known fixes anyone has used? Could it be possible that it just needs a clean? If so, wheres it located?

There is a sensor ring on every hub. You probably have a cracked one. You need to take the wheels off, clean them off and check them.

I had SERV, ABS & T/C on a couple of years ago, they thought the sensor might just need a clean as I had a split gaitor/boot
and it had thrown grease and crap all over it, turned out I needed a new ABS cable on the front.

Only problem is even now, years later I still get Serv ABS & T/C on occasion, apparently the fault code is stored somewhere
my RS Tuner box can't access, as that code is not stored on the ECU. (Or so i've been told)

I even had a Renault specialist cancel the fault code with thier diognostic equipment after they fitted the new
ABS cable, but it still comes back to haunt me.

I just switch the T/C off every time I get into the car, haven't seen the fault code since I started doing that.

I've adjusted my brake pedal switch loads of times,
and had people that have sucessfully adjusted theirs have a go, but it's never worked.

Besides, doesn't the brake pedal switch/plunger just adjust when your brake lights come on?

I think he was talking about my never ending fault mate.
SERV ABS & T/C can also be thrown up by a brake pedal switch that needs adjusting.

Possibly a wiring issue then rather than the sensor itself. Diagnostics session with a Scope will say for sure though. If you fancy a trip over to Nottingham i'll put a nail in this once and for all for you.
