ABS on a mk1 clio??????

I do believe it was an optional extra.

Thats what the brochure for a Mk1 1.4 RT phase 2 says

No, 16v's had it as an extra...possibly RT's/RSI's too. As BRUN says, its not the best...

I didn't like it.

It was an option.. and it came as standard on the Williams 3.

My Willy 3's was terrible - it used to cut in all the time, and it was useless.

Just do the valver brake upgrade, really does make a difference.

You need the calipers, discs, pads and the caliper bolts for attaching them to the hub assy.

Changes the disc size from 239 to 259mm, and does make a big difference to the quite frankly shite standard brakes.

renault did two additional options on the valver, one was abs at £400.00 and the other was leather that was also £400.00. the abs is sh*t i must admit. drove nmy friends one with it and compared to the standard rakes i thought his had failed!, its that bad.

ive never had it kick in before, but yeh, the brakes are a little vague

Wasn't it a fairly unreliable system anyway? When I was sourcing my valver I made sure I got one without. One less thing to go wrong!
