ABS on all valvers

I thought that all valvers had ABS as standard but was looking today at a 1993 16v Im thinking of buying and it doesnt have it...or at least its not in the same place as the 91 16v Ive got at the moment (just below the battery). Anybody know the answer?

no, it was optional on 16vs along with leather trim

mine doesnt have abs either

how do you know if your 16v has it

i check my hubs iv got 2 that are abs ones and 1 that isnt

u hammer it down the rd then press the brakes hard

if it has it there is a big black thing behind the battery, on the bulk head,

afaik,

but mines not got it its only what i was told !

Mines a 1993 valver and DOES have ABS according to my garage.....I had to slam on one day..locked up and almost went into a r/about sideways!! Mmmmm, maybe mine stands for Absent Braking System???
