Accelerating problem

Hello everyone
My clio sport 172 is not well
if I had a problem with the variable valve timming solenoid/actuator would it make my acceleration sluggish when I put my foot down?? If I accelerate moderately it seems to pick up ok bit if I accelerate hard it struggles, to me it feels like a clutch problem any ideas ?

also if this variable valve timming solenoid/actuator was faulty or not working would it bring up my dash warning lamps ??

If its a clutch problem when you floor it the clutch wouldn't grip and it would just spin, meaning that the car would just rev.

Tbh what your describing sounds like a misfire
