Accident damage help!

Car  1.2 16v Dynamique
hey, i was on my way home from work the other day when some d**k decided to pull out infront of me and cause me to slide head on into a kerb. this burst the tyre, wrote off the alloy, set off the passenger seats side airbag and has done more damage behind the wheel. the wheel is now moving back and forth and hitting the front of the arch, i took the wheel off expecting to see broken/bend parts but couldnt see much wrong, everything looked solid and straight. the only thing i noticed was the anti roll bar bush looks to be missing/broken. the car is a 1.2 53plate 3door.

any ideas as to what may be causing the wheel to move like that ??

cheers
craig

Thanks for the quick reply.

thats what i first thought but couldnt see any damage on it. is this the only thing that could cause that problem ?

If the wheels is moving backward and forward there may be damage to the TCA, or one of the bolts holding the Ball joint to the arm has snapped, thats what mine did when I hit a Kerb in my old 1.2

A lot of suspension parts never look bent when they are.

Something will be. Get it aligned.

The steering is fine, could be the ball joint I read about that happening to other people after hitting kerbs, I'll check it out.

There's damage to the suspension. Get it aligned and it will tell you what's bent.

Have you had it at a garage yet?

Had a guy from a local garage come and take the car away for free the other day, sed it needs a new suspention arm, hes also fitting a track rod end and 2 anti roll bar bushes i had in the house all for £160. thanks for the help guys.
