I’ve got a set of AD08RS fitted to the car in 205 50 15 flavour. How would these fair as a wet track tyres, seem to have plenty of grooves for moving water. Would like to get a set of AR1’s fitted to my other wheels for dry tyres.
I've got them for a set of track tyres. They're OK in the damp if you can get enough heat in them. Getting heat in the rears is harder. In standing water they are rubbish.
I had these on my old 197. They’re great tyres in the dry and are like superglue but found that they weren’t great in the wet. I aquaplaned in about a CM of water once with them.
They grip OK in the wet but are not a wet tyre, they dont like the damp patches so much, they'll be good enough to use until you wear them out, I've used them for both wet and dry this last while back to wear them out, they dont do very well in the dry, overheat after 5 laps then become very unpredictable
