Adam's Red PH2 Clio 172

Hi all, i may be a new member on here but I've had my fair share of modified cars and hopefully not going to be posting threads asking stupid questions and not listening to sound advice lol.

Anyway I currently own 3 cars which are;

Daily Vauxhall Vectra cdti
Nissan 180sx Type X running circa 400bhp SR20DET
Newly Purchased Clio 172!

My first car was a mk2 1.2 clio and i ended up giving it to my sister who still owns it, its doing well being in our family for 11 years. In terms of my modded car history I've owned 3 Mk4 Astras, 2 SRi Turbo's and one 1.8 sri, both the turbo's were running 300bhp+ and good spec, I also owned a 385bhp single turbo converted Mazda RX7 FD and then moved onto my currant Nissan 180sx. Had other crappy dailies in between which aren't worth noting!

Anyway moving onto the Clio. So its a 52 plate PH2 172 with currently 110k on the clock, i bought it off a mate who's fecked off travelling and i thought i'd do him a favour by taking it off his hands (How wrong was i). He still has all the paperwork as i forgot to grab it from him so can't tell you all much about the history. As standard its got auto lights, auto wipers and climate control (however the air con is being removed). As for mods, currently Its missing rear interior, got eibach 40mm lowering springs, 182 wheels in black and its got a awful cat back exhaust on it. Also a cheap air filter which I've already ordered my version of the fatty's set up i found on here. Last month the rad burst so it had a brand new rad and since then its had an intermittent missfire/spluttering which puts the car into limp mode. I'll get a code reader on it soon!

So to summerise i plan to keep it looking tidy, make it mechanically spot on get some nice light 15" wheels and sticky tyre's on, change the exhaust to something more subtle and quieter. Stick a bucket seat or 2 in and change the wheel to a nice aftermarket one. And possibly a cup spoiler if i can find one in the same colour, that's about it :)

So following on from my first post, i picked up some stock 15" wheels to put on until i find some nice aftermarket ones to put sticky tyres on and so i can clean up the 182 wheels and sell them! Gave the car a quick jetwash near my unit afterwards. Getting the codes read at the weekend so should hopefully know what the cause of my intermittent issue is!

Intermittent issue sorted! Was a knackered pre cat lambda sensor, car runs perfect now which is awesome!

Also got my custom fatty's intake fitted, I'm using 80mm pipes as I had some laying around, so I bought a 80mm ram air filter and got it fitted. Bit of a squeeze but it's on and the car drives much better now, so smooth and more responsive with an awesome intake noise!

That looks a great base for a project, what wheels you thinking? Some Speedline 2118's in anthracite grey would look awesome on that!!

I'd love a set of 2118's mate, but it depends if I can find some in budget. I'd like to sort the mechanicals out first and make sure we're up to standard then add some tasteful mods, although I'd love to get rid of the exhaust right now
