would call and ask but forgot to earlier on.

do they charge an admin fee at all during a policy with themselves for each time you call and add a modification?

If you declare everything you have and plan to do when you take out the policy then you won't need to cross that bridge.

i see what your saying but obviously everything would be declared when policy is started - you cant declare something that isnt on the car - but then halfway through for instace you want to add something new on, is there a charge then does anyone know?

thats a bit gutting, but they've given a much better price so i suppose its not too bad.

just means every mod during policy costs an extra 25 quid!

I changed my policy after about 2months with flux, added window tints and stainless exhaust, and they didn't charge me a penny! no admin fee and no policy increase!

just add it all at once

yes, but mid term into a policy if you add something new on... you would then need to notify them - therefore incurring the charge which is unfortunate but not a fat lot you can do about.

which is the £25 kiev85 is on about!

I've just got insurance through them and they told me on a number of occasions from different people I spoke to, non-power mods are free and no fees for declaring. Just call up and tell them, they'll log it, maybe they'll send an email as don't think they'll send confirmation via post.

I was told the mid-term policy change was for things like changing car or adding drivers as they may switch you to a different insurer to get the cheapest quote.

Better be, I'll need to declare brakes in a month and springs soon hopefully.

When I changed my car mid-term on my elephant policy, I managed to not pay the admin fee. Fook £15 for 1 minutes work. I was paying them enough extra just for the insurance increase.

  Clio DCi and a 306 GTi-6
I'm with adrian flux..
On my 306 GTi-6 i declared a FSE powerboost valve,Non standard 17" alloys,Lowered 50mm,Full stainless exhaust system and a K&N induction kit all they charged me extra on my policy was a increase of £33 for the year, they didnt add a fee for declaring the mods unless it was in on the £33 ..

Hope that helps

they didnt charge me

ive added things to the policy and not been charged.

i added loads of mods to my renewal policy (including points) AND changed it to a like-for-like policy... i.e i get new konigsports and buckets if they get nicked, not std renault parts and i still managed to bargain then down £105 from the renewal price they sent me in the post
