adjusting clutch cable for seating position

ever since adding the GiacomoRS steering wheel spacer I want to perfect the driving position.

My first idea was to add a spacer to the clutch pedal (20mm) to bring it neat the height of a depressed brake pedal, this would allow me to put the seat back a bit and make the position better.
but before i get some aluminium and start machining a spacer with griptape on it.....

would putting a bumpstop behind the pedal say 20mm and resetting the clutch cable have the same effect?
