Missus just renewed with them.. Really good and the internet has a mods page..! Their wedsite is the best one and you can play around with the excess etc
Where the best quote all doc and paperwork really quick etc. but i supose its when you make a claim that you really find out.
Make sure you go through the internet as over the phone is 10% more.
Yeah Admirial and Elephant are one in the same. Elephant are online only and Admirial will let you pay in instalments where the only diffrence I found a few years back when trying to insure my second car without any NCB.
Half the time you get someone in a foreign country who can hardly speak english, the other half you get some nice chatty bird oop north!
They are pretty good about keeping you in the know and don't charge silly money for modifications if you add them during the year.
One thing I wasn't overly happy with was the fact that they wanted to remove my NCB because I'd had an 'accident', despite the fact I got 100% costs off the other bloke (he reversed into my parked car while I was 40 miles away in london). I only told them about it as I didn't want them to sting me next year, saying "we had this paperwork come through but you didn't tell us about it blah blah blah"
After some persuasive words they relented and said I could keep the NCB.
I'm also with Admiral as they were one of the cheapest plus the cover they gave was pretty good. I've phoned them a few times and haven't had too many problems, the only one being they put me down for breakdown cover when I asked them not too.
They're also alowing me to cover two cars with one set of NCB.
Cheers for the replys. Think i will stick with them as they were £150 cheaper than anyone else. It just makes you wonder why they are so cheap compared to other companies, hopefully i won't need to find out.
Im with admiral on my v6, have been with them a few years now as they are the cheapest, paying £1600 at the mo where as most places quote £2000+
Had one claim with them and had no probs.
Admiral were also the cheapest for me, But their customer service is bad in my experience, as someone else said, the problem is is that their call centre is based in india or somewhere, takes ages for them to understand anything ( i guess you get good and bad ones)
I had to change my policy from a Cup to a 1.4 recently and they couldnt understand that i was changing from a clio to a clio! took about half an hour in total
