Admiral online insurance is wierd

Just been getting new quotes on my 182 to see what difference mods would make on my car (thinking along the lines of 182leeds exhaust and suspension)

Got a quote for just the 182 standard was £1729.33 with 17 year old GF with prov lic

Same quote as above without GF but with 22 year old sister also prov lic £3000+

Quote with GF and exhaust £1874.25

Quote with GF and lowered suspension was £1922.55

Quote With GF and suspension and exhaust was also £1922.55

This system does not seem to make any sense in how the pricing works, how can it be cheaper with 17 year old lass than 22 year old lass, who both have provisional licences?

And how can it cost more to add an exhaust, cost more to add suspension but cost the same to add both as just adding suspension.

Thought you might be interested, if you have 17 years old girl m8s, try quoting with them in admiral/elephant and they may get your insurance cheap

Must be the old insurance pricing random number generator hard at work again. I'm sure thats how they do it sometimes!

Maybe it's like one or two mods they charge and extra £100 three or four mods an extra £200 and 5+ mods an extra £400...

yeh thats what i was thinking, but how can they say a 17 years old is over £1000 cheaper to insure than a 22 year old, its wierd

Anyways, just debating if i should buy leeds182 exhaust and suspension

Yeah that is quite wierd. By some strange twisted logic you could say that the 17yr old must be keen to learn to drive as they are starting asap whereas the 22yr old has waited (for whatever reason) and doesn't really want to drive but is now learning because they need to rather than want to so might be more nervous so more likey to have an accident.... ???

But that could be reading just a bit too much into it

Admiral does seem rather random, but very cheap compared to other insurance companies and I think they will guarantee any quote for up to 60 days...
