Quick one, Im setting up the new office and need adobe to be able to read cetian files.

Ive downloaded it but everything I save as a PDF apears as a Word icon on the desktop etc.

If I right click and open it with adobe I can read the file but I want it to default to open anything saved as a PDF as a PDF file?

Iirc there is a box on the open with window that you select as default or something along those lines, haven't used windows for a while so I'm not 100%

Right click the file

Properties > Opens With: Word (2007) Click the Change... Button

Select Adobe Reader

Apply, Save, Ok, Done

Right click > Open with > Choose default program > select adobe > tick the box that says 'always use the selected program to open this type of file'.

Done.

It's Acrobat/Reader, I assume? Adobe are the company.
