Advice needed please

  silver clio grande 1.2
Hi everyone, just a quick brief im new here and will be taking my second driving test on 12th june and will be getting a clio in the next few weeks. yipee! i love them. i just wondered if anybody could point me in the right direction of which clio would be best. my dream car would be black and a clio v6 at that but thinking realistically im on the look out for either a mk2 or mk3 i believe, not being very expert on the topic! im not sure which of the two is the better one. also i got a quote on a 1.2 3dr grande that was x reg and had 58'000 miles on the clock. i was just curious on how much insurance would be and as a learner they quoted me 1221.42 with 250 deposit. is this good or is it a rip off!.

if anyone could give me any advice it would be much appreciated. thankyou.:star:

that 1200 quote sounds about right, i had a 1.2 sport as my first car and that was £1400 so that sounds about right.

Hope you pass :D and get driving soon.

Edit: Just noticed your name, i take it you are a girlie, you might be able to get cheaper than that... try sheelas wheel ;)

Hi

Try elephant or diamond for your insurance, my first car was a 1.4 106 quiksilver and my insurance was under a £1k being a girl helps

Good luck with finding a clio ;)

Gooid luck with your test Clio Bex :)

I'm insured with Direct Line. I'm not sure if they do this for 1st time drivers but it's worth finding out, but I got a good discount when I put another driver on my insurance (obviously the named driver has to have some kind of no claims) plus they gave me 1 years FREE no claims as an added bonus.

Good luck with your Clio hunting too, I'm sure you won't be sorry you got one. ;)

  ILLIAD VEE!!
Hi and welcome to the forum.

Should try Adrian Flux for insurance, I have my V6 insured with them and as Gem_GTI said, being a girlie does help... although some of the more well known insurance companies were quoting me stupid prices for my V6 (£1500+, that's for 13 years NC's discount, havign a tracker fitted to my Vee and being a girlie..!!! ) On Class "A" drugs if you ask me....!!!

Also try Elephant, I have heard that they will match any low quote and some of the younger V6 drivers on V6clio.net have used Elephant for their modified V6's. Worth a shot - Good Luck and happy driving....!

i went on auto trader first looking at clio's and got my quote from thier this quote was with allianz and cornhill and one even quoted me upto 3'000 pounds! ill definetly have a look at those girly insurance companies. also i just wondered if you insure a car standard do you have to let the company know if you modify it after and will this increase the cost?
