advice needed

ok so now ivw sold my car i need a new one asap...

i have a 172 that is pretty much mine but the guy off here isnt selling untill january time.leaving me without a car

but its mint, got everything done to it that i would do etc

but for the same price i can get one from a trade centre, ice been to look at it today and its got a few more miles, few dents etc BUT it comes with 12 months mot and 12 months parts and labour warrenty...

how much is the warrenty worth???

ill say the cars are bothe the same price

I would not bother with trade car. Its got more miles and has dents, so indicates its not been look after too well. ( just the dents i mean lol).

With the guy off here, at least you know its been looked after by an enthusiast and got the right kind of mods on it etc...

How can you afford to insure the 172 but not the GTi, madness?

Personally if they were the same price i'd wait for the one thats in better condition. If teh trade one is cheaper tho i'd get that and fix her up.

There are plenty 172s to choose from.

Would be prepared to wait until Jan, you have no gaurantees of sale. (just my view)

Buy a shed for a few hundred pounds, until the 172 is ready to be sold.

Then sell the shed, hopefully you will not lose any money, but you will get the well looked after 172.

saner i could afford the gti, but on its own and it was going to be a second car, so i would have 2 cars on my policy, and i couldnt afford that,
hows the thing coming along,

i dont have any guarentees that i can have the car in jan he may well change his mind.

ahh, got ya. Exterior is all cleaned up. got some new bits for the engine bay but need to get the clutch and gearbox checked out first.

Can you not put a deposit down on teh mint one? then he is garenteed a sale in January and you will get the car.. Make sure teh terms of teh deposit are well thought through tho.
