advice on 1994 1.8rsi gearbox

ANYONE OUT THERE HEARD OF CIR CLIPS FOR 1994 1.8RSI GEARBOX, MY GEARBOX HAS GONE (MAKIN GRINDING NOISE, BUT OK IN 5TH GEAR) AND IVE BEEN QUOTED £400 TO REPAIR . ARE THE CIR CLIPS A POSSABILTY?? PLEASE PLEASE HELP:rasp:

I don't think so. The circlips if they brake mean the greabox doens't transmit the power.

5th is on a seperate thingie so its 1~4 which are the problems a second hand box is say £50 then say £300 fitment and £20 for other bits. Might as well chnag the clutch whilst your at it.
