advice on a bullet cam?

I'd like a little advice on a bullet camera or something similar.

I'd want something to record from inside/outside the car which i could also attach to my helmet while skiing :evil:

Can anyone recommend anything or generally let me know what to look out for.
Also, would i need a separte microphone?

You're looking at different systems tbh.

Bullet cameras, in essense are mostly the same. They're all compact with multiple fitment options, and the more you spend, the better lense/general quality you get.

If you were skiing you wouldn't want a HDD recorder strapped to your back, and if you were driving, you wouldn't want to be limited to an hours footage.

I want this for the car tbh.

And yes you'll need a separate microphone. The bullet camera is only a video camera, it just outputs analogue video to whatever source you're using to record it.

The quality's much better on youtube with high quality switched on. Does record sound, but I turned the mike off. Comes with waterproof holder, and various harnesses to attach inside/outside the car.

Don't have a camcorder to plug the camera into, so just realised it's going to be quite a spend unless I get the Gopro integrated camera.

I got some excellent vids using my n95 8gb, and an ipod sports holder. Attached the holder to the sunvisor, I'll stick a sample up later.

Has anyone got/seen the gopro wide? just been looking at some footage on youtube and it looks like a great bit of kit and in the right conditions the quality is spot on! 170 degree lens (equal to about 14mm I think) and 5 megapixel.

Available on amazon for £199 for the motorsport package, if anyone finds it any cheaper let me know! think I'm going to order one for the drive down to Le Mans in June!!
