Doing Oulton park in June and so far im getting brembo hc discs, briaded hoses, brake fluid replacement etc. The pad choices are prob going to be-

Brembo pads
DS2500
Mintex 1144?
Or any others that you would recommend....

Bare in mind after this track day providing the car doesnt blow up, i wont be doing another day until september/october. So the setup will be mainly road use. Cheers for your help.

DS2500's would be my choice for the money though I've used the Mintex C1144's to with good results (for slightly less cash to). Both are noisey at slow speed braking though and squeal like mad

DS2500's without question my car did around 40k on a set with a few trackdays thrown in there as well!

Cheers. I know they are good, ive got them on the car at the moment, but ive been told their about 50% worn so im thinking replace now as i dont want anything to ruin my trackday. Also ive been spending money like its going out of fashion on various stuff so i was hoping to save a few quid.

Agree with the above...DS2500s sound ideal.

When I've run them they've not been too loud at all...I think it depends a lot on how you fit them.

I had these:

... below 30mph it was annoying but maybe it was because the HiSpec setups use a Volvo pad(?)

Don't bother changing them if they're only 50% worn, there should be about 5 trackdays still left in them!

I managed less than two full days at Oulton with my DS3000/HC's before the pads had no material left on them:eek:
