Advice on selling

Hi All

im after some advice about my 172 cup. Circumstances have changed meaning I need to free some funds up.

Its a 52 plate cup in blue with 172 wheels on due to last owner selling turinis!!

Has a few issues but overall is a decent car and I'm guessing a good base for a trck car. Airbag light is on and flickers when wires are fiddled with.

now my question is, do I spend a bit to get in a1 or sell as is for a lower price and save myself some hassle? Appreciate the advice from people who know more about the situation.

thanks

if its got some niggles that don't cost much to fix, then fix them.
Add the cost of the fix to your asking price if you like, but a car with 'simple to fix issues' that haven't been addressed will raise suspicions in some people that theres more to it. If the niggles are fixed, you can show this in the advert and it reflects on you as a good owner who looked after his car.
Its all about making the car more attractive to potential buyers in a crammed market.

Is it in good mechanical condition?

£1300 for a 172 cup with both belts just done is an absolute steal if it's just cosmetic/wrong wheels/etc.

Mine had belts done less than 5,000 miles before I sold it.

Still got mugged for it.

My advice - dont bother with belts and just get rid of it. Was getting better offers on gumtree / ebay. Put it up for £1800 with belts done. Would have accepted £1500.

Dont price too low. If you do - provide a good explanation. Dont put NO OFFERS just get someone interested then state the price is the price, here is how I justify it.

Yeah but if I was honest on the advert? It seems daft to me to spend say £3-£500 on belts and bits etc to sell it for say £1300?

From my point of view I disagree.
So, you lay out a bit of cash to get the belts done, but you increase the price of the car accordingly and you then have a car thats going to sell much quicker than those that need belts doing.

Some people prefer to get belts done themselves for piece of mind. . Personally I'd save the money and lower the price. There's mood people with 1k to spend than there is with 1500..
