ADVICE on Speakers PLEASE READ

  Yozza'd Titanium 182
Ok, basically got myself a sub amp and CD Player that im very happy with...
The base on the sub is perfect, the CD player is great and its all brand new. (didnt cost much either)

However,

The 182's standard speakers are OK but thats about as much as i can say about them...

My question basically is "I want to upgrade my front speakers and component speakers" (maybe the rear to) and i have no clue what to go for. Is buying jbl, vibe, fusion speakers etc from halfords a good upgrade?

All opinions and help welcome!:)

unless your going to amp the, you want the rms to be quite low,

also wouldnt bother getting comps for the rear, waste of wire and money,
coax's at the most.

im running jbl comps up front, from a jbl 75.4 amp,
really nice sound,

ive got some pioneer components and they are excellent, lovely and crisp on the cymbol sounds and work especially well when combined with the bass from a sub. ive got them from here, originally paying £69.99 for the the slightly older model (which are yellow components) which are equally as good as my brother has some. however they were out of stock so instead sent me a free upgrade to the 2008 model http://www.icebuyer.co.uk/tse130ci-13cm-180-watts-component-speakers-p-13048.html

Ideally Aim for an decent/good quality set of 3 way components and power them off a good 4 channel amp

Wack the tweeters and Mids in the front giving you crisp trebble and good quality mid

Stick the 3rd (bass) speakers in the back panels again off the same crossover and amp to give the thump base required in ur music

Wire them off 2 channels of the amp, then bridge chanels 3+4 for your sub

Have the sub for your sublow bass when they are all running together you will have an excellent setup for the front seat passengers!! f**k anyone in the back seat ;) haha

Pop into any good audio shop and tell them what you want they will hook you up with correct amp, wiring kits, speakers etc.

Hope this helps

I've got Focal 6.5" Polyglass components in the front of mine and they are fantastic (with no amp.) A huge improvement in bass and clarity.

I helped a friend install some Polk 5.25" components in his Phase 1 172 a couple of weeks back and they sounded excellent too. Nice and clear, he said the improvement was huge.

Both of the above speakers have a high sensitivity so work well with the stock head unit.
