Advice on wheels please

Tried to get my front wheels off today, bolts all taken out but the wheel wouldnt free. Had a good go at getting it off (boss too) but its really stuck! :dapprove:

Large block of wood on inner edge & large hammer, hit the wood

Or sit in front of wheel & kick tyre, with weight of car off wheel.

i just kicked the sides of the tyres on either side until they came off!

had this hasstle with my dads beemer. got a sponge or a cloth and put it on a spoke then had to wedge a bar in and prise it off!

failing that, jack the car up and turn the steering fully left hand down. then lie down and kick it off from the inside.

make sure theres someone to catch it if you get it off from the inside or youl scratch/mark it

Had the same issue with mine. Flat bit of wood on the inside of the rim. And a BIG hammer! Once you get them off. Ensure copper slip is put on the hub.

How do you manage to get the wheel stuck to the hub?!

or use a rubber mallet and keep hitting behind the wheel, can sometimes work from the front but much better from behind the wheel

They rust themselves together pretty much. Thats why copper greasing when you put them back on should help next time. Depends how long you leave it between removing the wheels.

well she had a service in oct but not sure if wheels came off :dapprove: Every time i've had my wheels off i've always put plenty of copper grease on the hub.
