just some advice on what to do with my car. i cleaned my car on monday and then polished and waxed it. it looked probably the best it ever has. then i decided to drive it and low and behold its abolutley filthy again now. i spent at least 3 hours doing it and then for it all to ruined in 10mins of driving:mad:.

so is ther any way of washing it with out having to re-wax it?

cheers

just wash it with a nice gentle shampoo and then spray on some final finish for a little extra shine.

make sure its a decent shampoo mate, cheap stuff will strip all your hard work away.
nice mild shampoo, lambswool mitt or similar and providing its a decent wax the protection should be there for winter.

as above, very weak mixture, add the product to the bucket while the water is going in, ie dont start with the product already in the bottom... odly you dont want to have much foam.

spray the car with a QD while wet and dry off...

QD will help with the drying + will top up the wax content slighlty...;)

Any decent shampoo will give a good finish after washing if the car is well sealed or waxed if you use the correct dilution ratio (too weak and it will not clean effectively, to strong and you will diminish the protection and finish left behind by your wax/sealant).

Duragloss Wash seems to give me the best finish at the moment and is my current shampoo of choice but am looking forward to giving Britemax Wash a chance when I get 5.

Best was of ensuring you have that just waxed look after washing with out the time involved of apply wax can be done in two ways.

A wax as you dry product that you apply and remove while drying.

Top 3 to look into:

Duragloss Aquawax
Autoglym Aqua Wax
Prima Hydro

All three work well. Excellent finish, plus added protection and no added time on the wash.

The other route is to use a nice quick detail spray during and after drying. A small spritz to a panel to aid the drying and then go round the car again after. Some QD's contain wax so are topping up the protection while enhancing the just waxed finish, all for a few mins extra.

Top 3 again IMO

Britemax Spray and Shine
Finsih Kare 425
Sonus Carnauba Spritz

Hope this helps.

Cheers
