Advice please

As well as my airbag and service light staying on, I've now discovered my boot doesn't lock. Can't afford to pay hundreds -any ideas!? I'm near Preston

Have a search, plenty of info here how to fix the serv+airbag light yourself.

Unsure about the boot locking issue, does it try to lock?

Afaik Wiggle wires under the passenger seat for the airbag and service light.

Boot lock is another fairly common issue. Check the connector hasn't corroded and of so clean it. If that doesn't work it'll be a new one

update-took it to a garage,he seemed decent-the boot lock had part of the mechanism missing so he has fixed that.With the airbag light he has run diagnostics and it says the fault is with the sensor under the passenger seat.
He has taken apart cleaned and reconnected with no joy and says there are no losse wires,so he isnt charging for the diagnostic which is decent and im taking the opportunity to have a basic service while its in.He did say that there is no problem with the airbag and so when mot is due he will ensure it passes.However,bizzarely, over the last few days it is becoming more intermittent and is going off more regularly- im wondering if iot could be the valeting if it got wet and is slowly drying out,taking longer in the current weather?
