my car has started making a faily loud ticking noise i am thinking it is the lifters now im thinking this is going to cost me a few quid do you know how much? or would it be cheaper to get a second hand head? also is there any chep head work worth doing while the head is off? cheers

if its the lifters u r looking at about £400 !
if the heads being rebuilt u could get a fast road cam put in at the same time as it would only cost the xtra for the cam and not the labour for fitting the cam as that will be part of the rebuild
