My friend lives right near a train track has a newish samsung hd 37" and cant hardly get any 'freeview channels' they get bbc3/dave sometimes but the signal is always s**t and its annoying!

Do they need a booster, and anyone no what sort?

Any mains powered booster (available from most electrical places) 'should' give a bit better signal, but not by a lot i have found. TBH if the area is bad in general theres not much can be done.

if you boost a s**t siginal you will just get more s**t......

need to get a better alignment on the aerial or get it higher if it is obscured by some thing like a hill or towerblock
